IRON QUILTER CHALLENGE
We were impressed, wowed and awe-struck by the Iron Quilter Challenge
submissions! We had a wonderful turnout and appreciate everyone who
participated in this process.
We hope that you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about color theory
and technique, and learned to work outside of your comfort zone for this
challenge.
Check out the photos below along with the names of the makers! Winners
of the challenge are listed after the photos, however I invite you to pick your
winners! What do you feel is the best use of the color wheel? Which project
would you like to steal?
Erin made this adorable Flower Pinwheel quilt! What a lovely addition
to your spring and summer décor.
Carrye used a very creative technique to create her challenge project.
She created a reusable bag using a photo fused to the bag. This was a great way
to make something useful but also challenge her creativity.
Allie made this sweet mini using modern fabrics. How adorable!
Amy made this sweet snail quilt! Simple and sweet!
Christy made this comfy purple pillow. The pillow case showed great instincts with design and color placement, and the pillow was so comfy and soft!
Yo made this gorgeous mini giving South Western vibes!
Christine went outside of her comfort zone to create this bag. She
shopped Fabric Shack for just the right fabrics!
Dorothy used paper piecing to create this quilt for granddaughter Olivia.
It took 3 hours to rip papers!
Carol made an awesome “Fab Pholio” to make transporting projects and
blocks easier. It is her own design and used a gorgeous color palette.
Can you believe this is Natalie’s 1
st
quilt? Her use of
color, simple but aesthetically pleasing design and quilting made this quilt
stand out.
