Our Sew-In will be held this Saturday, June 4, from 10-3 at the Centennial Barn, 110 Compton Road, Cincinnati, 45215. We'd love to have you join us! Please bring a project to work on, your machine, a drink, and a snack to share. We'll provide a cutting surface, iron, and ironing board. The Modern Quilt Guild is sponsoring a challenge using Jay McCarroll's new line, Habitat, for Free Spirit. Sounds fun, right? We can structure the challenge to fit our guild and can make basically anything that we'd like, from mini quilts to blocks, full sized quilts, quilted projects, etc. We are eligible to receive the equivalent of 6 Fat Eighths (or 3 Fat Quarters) for each participant, and the only rule is that we must add only solids, or additional Habitat fabrics, to what we receive.

 We also need to choose a color way, as we'll only be given one to work with. Here are the choices.

NEA Modern Quilt Guild in Huntsville, Alabama will be sponsoring a Quilt-a-Thon to make quilts for the victims of last week's devastating tornados.

We are looking for donations of finished quilts (lap sizes or larger), Quilt Tops or other quilting supplies such as batting, thread or fabric.

We will be hosting a sewing day/weekend soon, dates and time will be announced.

The Centennial Barn is not available during our regular meeting time in June, so our meeting that month will be held on Thursday, June 16th from 7-9 pm there. I've made the change in the calendar and I'll post an update on our Facebook page closer to the meeting date, too.

We're also holding our second Sew-In of the year on Saturday June 4 at the Barn. The time is yet to be determined, and we'll most likely charge a $5 fee to those who are planning to attend to cover our rental fees. More information will be coming soon on the Sew-In as well.
