As we kick off 2017, a year sure to be filled with many colorful and inspiring modern quilts, we must thank Janine and Ellen (co-presidents of the guild in 2016) for their hard work and dedication to our guild! Thank you to all past Board Members! You are appreciated.

February Meeting Challenge!

Your challenge for the February meeting, should you chose to accept it, is to make a quilty inspired name tag. If you wear it to the February meeting, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize! Good luck ladies!

Guild News
We started this meeting off socializing and visiting. It was decided that we should try out round table seating as this may provide a more inclusive atmosphere and encourage conversation.

Treasurer, Christine Doyle, collected guild dues during this meeting. If you were not present and wish to become or remain a member, please contact Christine to arrange payment.

In order to better keep track of the number of people attending each meeting as well as visitors, Carol Calkins (member at large) will help utilize sign-in sheets that will be present at each meeting. We also encourage members to wear name tags at each meeting.

Quilt Con is fast approaching and several members of our guild will be in attendance. QuiltCon is from February 23-26 and will take place in Savannah, Georgia.

There will be a sew-in at The Barn on January 21st from 1-4. We hope that you can make it!

The QuiltCon charity quilt is now complete, and it looks fabulous! It has been named “Cincinnati Stars” and uses the Ohio Star block. Check out the gorgeous quilting below!
